Today, the energy issue is very acute not only at the state level, but also at every home owner. Have an autonomous energy source, which, at least partially, can cover costs, is beneficial to each owner. Buy a collector can be at an affordable price, and the cost of equipment is commensurate with the cost of the heating system. You can implement this technology by yourself.

The solar collector allows you to use the energy of the sun for useful purposes. The scheme of the structure of such a system is simple, it includes the collector itself, the capacity for liquid and the circuit for heat exchange. The main thing will be determined with the coolant, which will allow transferring energy with minimal losses. It can be not only liquid, but also gas.

The heat carrier circulates through the system by heating, transfers heat to the water. The tank with water can be used both for household purposes and in the heating system. The main thing is to safely insulate the system. Water can move by gravity, but more often forced circulation is used. To ensure the operation of the system year-round, you can install additional heating of water, which will not allow it to cool.

There is a vacuum and air collector. Before you start designing, you need to determine the type of system. Gas as a coolant is used less often, since it transfers heat poorly.

Significant savings on the back wall will bring a primitive collector, made by own hands. This device is effective when placed on a dark roof of roofing material or black tiles. The device must be positioned, pointing towards the sun.

The glass is better to fix on the frame, which is pre-made. Do not lay it directly on the roof, between the surface and the system should be airspace. The temperature of the coolant and the collector itself can damage the integrity of the roof coating. The fixing frame can be made from both metal and wood.

To make a tubular heat exchanger, two types of pipes are needed. You need to take a heating pipe and an air conditioning pipe. To work, you still need a gas burner, solder of lead and tin and flux. It is important to make the correct markings, especially along the pipe and mark the places for holes at a distance of 20-30 mm.

Pipes thin must be cut according to the size of the heat exchanger. They need to be driven into larger diameter pipes, but not deeper than ¼. Before soldering, a protective flux must be applied to the joint. The soldering process is carried out using a burner and solder. Check the connection quality is simple, you need to connect the system to the water pipe and check the device for integrity.

Before installation, the heat exchanger must be degreased and dyed black. After the unit is fixed to the frame and placed on the roof. The surface of the heat exchanger is covered with glass, and transparent slate.

You can make a solar collector based on the window frame. It will take a frame with the glass, usually these elements are thrown away. Excellent fit a wide frame, two-glass. One glass needs to be removed, and instead of it put plywood. This design will serve as an excellent basis for the solar collector.

After that it is necessary to make a high-quality thermal insulation in order to minimize heat loss. As an absorber, a galvanized sheet is suitable. The mirror surface of the absorber reflects heat, so the sheet must be painted black. After laying the heat exchanger by the type of “snake”. To do this, it is necessary to bend the copper tube, do not use soldering. The finished collector is closed and fastened.

An important point in the installation of the system is the angle of inclination of the collector. The ideal location of the system is the reinforcement at right angles of the sun’s rays. With the time of year, the angle must always be adjusted. In the spring and summer it is more rational to arrange the device in general vertically.
