Conditions for keeping ducks.
In general, the birds of this breed are mobile, unpretentious, strong. But, despite all the positive aspects of breeding, this breed has not become very widespread among the breeders. Mirror ducks in small quantities can be found on the farm in poultry-lovers.
Although this breed is enduring, it is necessary to ensure that the temperature in the house does not drop below 0 ° C. The most profitable way to grow mirror ducks is to use free-range. It is convenient if there is a pond near the site. This will save on feed and promotes the full development of young animals. The diet of this breed of ducks in the summer season should almost consist of a different kind of herbs. In the pond they feed on duckweed and other algae.
Depending on the purpose for which birds are raised (for meat or eggs), the intensity and composition of the feed should be selected. In the morning the pack is expelled to the paddock to the pond where it finds food. For dinner, ducks are driven into the poultry house to receive food enriched with the necessary components for weight gain components. Then again released on the pond. In the evening, after the corral they should be fed again. It is advisable to do this at the same time. After a while mirror ducks get used to this mode and independently come to the pen to feed and spend the night.
