Maintenance and care The cows are unpretentious to the conditions of their maintenance, but they need large pastures for grazing and a good fodder base. Contain cows both in the cowshed and in the pen

Stable content is less productive, because, as a milk breed, the Jersey cow needs constant walks for feeding and appetizing milk. Stable feeding is shown only in the winter season, in the rest of the period the cows should be on the pasture and be able to feed on the fodder

In winter, the cows are fed with hay, mash and grain, with the addition of vegetables and fruits. In summer, cows eat grass and grass. Feed must necessarily be succulent, otherwise large amounts of milk will not be obtained

On average, from one cow per year, it is possible to obtain at least 3.5 thousand liters of milk with a fat content of up to 6%. The color of the milk is yellow, there are obvious signs of high fat content, the cream pops up immediately after the milk is poured into a new container, and between the cream and the milk itself there is a quite clear boundary

The weight of an adult cow, with the observance of the optimal feeding regimen and conditions, is about 400 kilograms, the weight of the bull can be 700 or more kilograms. Breed cows to get milk, despite the high weight of the output of meat at the bottom is very small.
