External signs of the breed The appearance of the gissar sheep largely depends on its belonging to this or that type of direction that is allocated within the breed. Thus, they distinguish gissarian sheep of greasy, meat and meat-and-greasy type

For sheep the meat direction of breeding is characterized by a small, barely noticeable Kurdyuk, the presence of good muscle mass and a small amount of fat at the face. Meat-sebaceous sheep have a huge Kurdyuk, located at the level of the back

The yield of meat and fat in the face is usually the same, but it all depends on the feeding. The sebaceous type of gissar sheep is distinguished by a large covering of the third part of the body with a fat-tail and at least a large yield of fat and fat at the bottom

The skeleton of the sheep is strong, well developed. Sheep high enough, at the withers reach 80 centimeters, sheep just below, the height at the withers usually does not exceed 75 centimeters

Legs are elongated, tendons are seen, differ in strength, which allows animals to make long transitions without losing an attractive outer fork and weight. The body of the sheep is elongated, the sternum is wide. The head is large, there is a large hump in the region of the nose. Rogov gissar sheep do not have, and females, and males are cloddy. The neck of the sheep is short, the ears are elongated, hanging

Weight kurdjuka can reach 40 kilograms, while the weight of the sheep itself is only 80 kilograms. Sheep weigh a little more, but in general not more than 140 kilograms

The color of the coat varies from dark-blond to black. The structure of the coat is rough with the predominance of dead and fleece hair. Sheep are sheep at least twice a year – in spring and late summer. One sheep manages to cut up to 2 kilograms of wool, with a sheep no more than 1.2 kilograms

Despite the fact that the breed is considered exclusively meat and greasy, the sheep are mainly characterized by high milk indices. For 2 months from one sheep it is possible to milk up to 12 liters of milk

Hissar sheep are not prolific, for 100 sheep in the herd there are only 110-120 lambs. Sheep grow extremely fast, with a good diet of lamb in just one day has time to gain weight of 0.6 kilograms

The maintenance and care of the Gisar sheep are maintained throughout the year on pastures. They are unpretentious to weather conditions, thick wool cover reliably protects animals from bad weather, because they do not need large sheepfolds

Shelter is necessary for sheep only at the moment of lambing and for the period of growing newborn lambs, which does not last more than a week. A month later, grown-up lambs are ready for a long transition to another pasture along with older animals. Sexual maturity occurs at 4 months, but the first sheep matings take place much later

Sheep are rarely sick and have great endurance. The breed is more mountainous than the steppe, on the plains it is used only to produce animals with improved meat or greengrocery. In households, it is rare to breed, since a sheep genetically requires a huge space, in a confined pen enclosure, it feels not very comfortable, which means it is impossible to achieve high rates for meat and fat.
