Geese are birds, quite simple in breeding and growing. The second important aspect when breeding goslings is the construction of a suitable house. Geese in content are indiscriminate, but they need a clean, dry and well-ventilated room. As a place for keeping geese, an ordinary wooden shed will do, but it is best to build a solid stone barn with a foundation, windows and doors. The more kind the building is, the more difficult it will be for such predators as weasel, marten and fox to penetrate inside and destroy the labor of several months.

Feeding

For breeding geese, you need to stock up a lot of corn, corn, or flour, greens, preferably fresh zucchini and cucumbers. If there is a grazing next to the house, you should set up a corral there, in order to be able to transfer geese to the pasture in summer. It is important to understand that geese can only trample and spoil all the grass in a pen in just a few days, so let them out there best for a few minutes, then move them to another paddock.

Geese a day consume a fairly large amount of water, in addition, they love to moisten their feathers and stomachs, because of which drinking bowls constantly change with water. To avoid this trouble, you can arrange a small pool in the pen area.

Feed adult geese up to 3 times a day, trying to get the most part of the feed for birds at night. Small goslings are fed from 6 to 8 times. The food should be fresh and smelling good. In the usual feed diet, goslings are injected with boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and also milk. Adult geese need to be fed eggshell once a week.

Slaughter

The first slaughter of geese is made at 3-4 months of their life, because the younger the goose, the more delicious and juicier its meat. With age, meat becomes harder and harder, and is most suitable for extinguishing. Slaughter of geese is done by the usual removal of the head of a goose with a sharp knife, or with an ax. The warm carcass after the descent of the blood should be placed in a basin of hot water for better release from the feathers, and then start cutting the goose.
