Arabian horse breed

While sung by poets, a beautiful Arab breed originated in Arabia between the 4th and 6th centuries AD. When breeding an Arabian horse, horses of other blood were never used, so this breed, along with the Akhal-Teke and English races, is called the thoroughbred

Low, fast and incredibly hardy Bedouin racers became the progenitors of the modern Arab breed. They were used to cross the deserts and on the battlefields, as a constant helper and companion of the Arabs. Horses were revered, admired by them, dedicated poems to them, and at times valued them above jewels. Like many centuries ago, the heads of many states present each other Arabian horses as valuable gifts

For many centuries and even millennia, the appearance of the Arabian horse has not changed at all, and today this breed is distinguished by its characteristic exterior: a graceful head with a slightly concave profile like a pike, large expressive eyes, a flexible, curved, swan-like neck, a compact body, dry sturdy legs with miniature hoofs, high tail rigging

These horses are distinguished by a lively temperament, they are energetic, impulsive, fast and easily trained. Arab horses adapt easily to different climatic conditions, are able to live in conditions of withering summer and severe winters, they have excellent health, they are very prolific

The main suits, characteristic of the Arabian breed, can be called the gray of all possible shades, with characteristic steel shine, as well as bright red, bay and, of course, black. The horses of the Arabian breed, which have a gray suit, lighten over time, becoming almost snow-white, and their body and neck are covered with marks – “buckwheat”

Like many others, the Arabian breed has 4 intraspecific types, differing from each other in appearance and growth: siglavi, cohaylah, hadban and cohaylan-siglavi

The type of “siglavi” is very small, these horses are not very fast, but they have the most pedigree and very effective exterior

The horses belonging to the “coheilan” type are the most massive, broad-chested, strong and quick

The type of “hadban” is distinguished by high growth, it is the largest horse, although their appearance is least like the exterior of a typical Arabian horse

Horses belonging to the intermediate type of “cohaylan-siglavi” successfully combine an exotic and refined exterior with high growth, massiveness and quickness

For centuries, these horses have been used to ennoble and breed other breeds, today the blood of the Arabian breed flows in the Oryol and Andalusian breeds, percheron, English riding

The addition of new blood adds dryness to the exterior, rarity and elegance. These horses are successfully used in remote runs, due to their incredible stamina. Also for horses of this breed, special prizes are arranged, where Arabian horses compete in speed on smooth races

In addition, thanks to his intelligence and elegant exterior, this breed can often be seen in various shows and circus performances

Despite its low growth and rather nervous character, Arabian horses are widely used in professional and amateur sports, as well as as a hobby horse. This is due to the fact that the Arab breed is distinguished by high efficiency, energy and lack of aggression towards man

In the eastern countries, Arabian horses are still considered a state treasure, they live in chic stables of sheikhs, dietitians specially select a diet for them, and the best trainers are engaged in physical training of horses.
